TNC - Mansfeld

The main purpose of this Taxonomic Nomenclature Checker is to allow quick and convenient checking of large numbers of scientific names against other standardized databases.
Here you can check your list of scientific plant names against Mansfeld's World database of Agricultural and Horticultural Crops, maintained by the Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research IPK, Gatersleben, Germany. The information of the database is based on "Hanelt, P. & Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (Eds.) 2001: Mansfeld's Encyclopedia of Agricultural and Horticultural Crops. 1-6: 3716 pp. Springer, Germany.

Also note that because the checking of your data against Mansfeld is name-based, not taxon- or concept-based, no conceptual difference between the application of a name in your data and in Mansfeld is assumed in the result.
